Large companies rarely buy from a storefront. Their buyers order from inside a procurement system, such as SAP Ariba or Coupa.

The buyer opens your catalog from that system. The cart goes back for approval, and then a purchase order comes to you. This is PunchOut.

PunchRelay brings PunchOut to Shopify B2B. Here is the full round trip, recorded on a test store.

Contract prices stay in Shopify B2B: a company, its location, and a catalog with your price list.

In PunchRelay, you add one connection per buying organization and bind it to that company, location and contact.

PunchRelay then shows the credentials and URLs for the buyer's IT team. The secret is blurred here.

Now the buyer's side. A public test tool plays the procurement system and sends a PunchOut request with those credentials.

The buyer lands in your catalog and sees the contract price, 29.99, with the quantity rules from Shopify.

They add five Silver Bangles and transfer the cart.

The cart returns to the procurement system as a requisition. Nothing is ordered in Shopify yet.

The buyer's company approves the requisition, and its system sends a purchase order to PunchRelay. Here we paste one into the test tool.

PunchRelay accepts the purchase order. There is still no order in Shopify.

The purchase order waits in your PunchRelay inbox, matched against the cart the buyer transferred.

Your team checks it and clicks Create Shopify order. Only then is an order created.

The Shopify order carries the buyer's company and PO number, with payment pending.

PunchRelay is on the Shopify App Store. Learn more at punchrelay.com.
